  Welcome   Minimize

Get Real! Meet real people, living real lives, with real struggles, experiencing real hope. Join us on our journey while we learn about God, Christianity and faith. Jesus taught us to love each other and meet people's needs regardless of lifestyle or background. That's what we're about! Through music, prayer and Bible teaching, Glenmore is a place to encounter God. Come, check us out!

Stampede 2008 Celebrations

2008 GT site graphic.jpg

Each year, Calgary hosts the world in the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth – the Calgary Stampede. And each year, Glenmore Temple joins the city in celebrating our great Stampede. This year, our church festivities take place on the weekend of July 5-6.

Everyone is invited to join us on Saturday evening for a time of fun, food, and fellowship. Bring the family out to our carnival and BBQ, starting a 4:00pm:

  • Games, mini-golf, face-painting
  • Lots of activities for all ages
  • Beef-on-a-bun BBQ (hotdogs for the kids)
Then join us for a musical concert, featuring our brass band and choir. Our Stampede concert is always lots of fun, with plenty of opportunities to sing, laugh and let your western side shine!

This year, we are also pleased to have special guests, Majors Norman and Lois Garcia. Ministers in The Salvation Army, currently working at our church in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, Norman and Lois are also both extremely musically gifted. Norman is a cornet soloist, having played in both The Salvation Army Canadian Staff Band and The Salvation Army New York Staff Band, while Lois is a vocal soloist. We know you will be truly blessed, not only by their musical presentations, but also by their generous spirits.

Celebrations continue on Sunday morning with our Sunday service at 10:45am. Once again, the band and choir will be participating, along with the Garcias. Refreshments will follow the service, giving you yet another chance to meet new friends.

All events are free of charge. We hope you will come and join us – we look forward to meeting you.

YAA-HOO!!
